Ten Things You Didn't Know About Me

1. My favorite movie quote is from Disney's Return of Jafar, "You'd be surprised what you can live through" Jafar

2. I am a certified mediator with a background in Conflict Resolution. I love to help others through writing, meditation, or simply by listening.

3. I have a criminal justice degree and spent over two decades advocating for individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and the homeless.

4. I'm originally from Georgia. My family and I presently reside near the coast of North Carolina.

5. I saved my wife and daughter's lives with the Heimlich maneuver I learned over 30 years ago in Germany.

6. I had my first job at nine years old. I've been working and paying taxes since I was thirteen years old.

7. Raising good humans is the most important job anyone will ever have--I am blessed to be the mother of four amazing humans. They make me a better human.

8. My youngest son passed away when he was 21 years old. I will never be the same. He made me a better person and challenged me on every level to be the best I can be--I honor him by keeping my promises to him.

9. I am a problem-solver. Every problem has a solution. Solutions are simple--implementation is the real work & where most people lose interest.

10. I've almost died on ten different occasions by ten different causes. I promise to update this number as necessary!
